The entire EMS, Inc. staff is placed into a specific medical surveillance program which is part of our published Corporate Health and Safety Policy. This program includes routine medical D.O.T. physicals by a contracted industrial physician. EMS, Inc. also takes part in the D.O.T. drug and alcohol random selection program in which employees are chosen randomly every quarter. All employees are involved in our "HazCom/Right-to-Know" program which includes the filing of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for each chemical we use at our facility or that we encounter on each specific job.

Performance of EMS, Inc. requires the use of equipment and exposure to conditions that can be dangerous. To reduce these risks, EMS, Inc. has implemented broad training and educational programs as well as safety policies and regulations. Field employees undergo extensive health and safety training, and employees working on hazardous waste sites receive training and periodic refresher courses to maintain proficiency in accordance with OSHA and MSHA requirements. Continuing education and cross training are also strongly encouraged at all levels of our organization.
